Sonali Phogat’s MURDER Case Handed Over To CBI After Consistent Demands From Her Family, Confirms Goa CM
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has confirmed that Sonali Phogat’s murder case has been handed over to CBI
BJP leader and Bigg Boss fame Sonali Phogat died in Goa last month. Her case was being investigated by Goa Police so far and the cops found a murder conspiracy in the case. However, Sonali’s daughter and family members have been demanding for CBI probe into the matter and their request has been granted. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has confirmed that Phogat’s case has been handed over to CBI.
As reported by Hindustan Times, the CM mentioned that this development comes after persistent demands made by the BJP leader’s family members and the Haryana government. Pramod Sawant was quoted saying, “We are giving the Sonali Phogat death case to the CBI. It is because we have been receiving consistent demands from Haryana and her family that it should be handed over to the central agency. The decision of handing over Sonali Phogat’s murder case to the CBI comes a day later after 'Sarv Jatiya Khap Mahapanchayat' threatened to launch a mass agitation if Government fails to order a CBI investigation into the matter.
On Sunday, mahapanchayat, consisting of five members of Phogat's family including her daughter gave an ultimatum to the Haryana government to order a CBI probe into Sonali Phogat's death case by September 23 or else they will start a mass agitation. For the unversed, Goa Police made several arrests after the post-mortem report of Sonali Phogat revealed ‘blunt force injury” and marks on her body. Her manager and accused Sudhir Sangwan had reportedly confessed to killing the BJP leader as part of his conspiracy.
